Wilcocks Brothers of Watford Ltd. and Westeel Storage Solutions hold open house

Nearly 350 people came out to the open house for Wilcocks Bros. and Westeel Storage Solutions on Friday, April 5th. The entire community was invited to come out and enjoy a lunch of hamburgers, hotdogs, veggies and donuts with pop or coffee and to view the new patented structured roof for 60’ to 108’ grain bins.

“We had a really good turnout today and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves,” said Harold Wilcocks from Wilcocks Brothers of Watford. “We are very excited to be working with Westeel Storage Solutions & John Ernewein Ltd. The 108’ roof which we have on display here is truly impressive.”

Company representatives from Westeel Storage Solutions, Farm King Grain Handling, Kongskilde Industries, Genco Generators, National Leasing, Cancoppas Bin Sensors and Monitoring and John Ernewein Limited were available from 10a.m. to 3p.m. to answer questions and give practical solutions to area farmers. Company representatives from several Ontario commercial grain storage facilities were also on hand to learn more about the unique grain bin design.
At the event, it was announced that the display roof has been sold to Thompsons Limited. It will be disassembled soon, to be erected at the Pontypool Branch later in the summer to its full size of 111 feet high, holding 687,330 bushels.
